Shout out to Ed who battled through snowy conditions to get everything delivered yesterday, a stellar effort!

My gamble of avoiding Spanish/French produce last week paid off with minimal disruption. There were a few amendments to my order but it was all done in advance for similar products.

The strikes in France have been called off for now, concluding surprisingly quickly but from what I've heard via my wholesaler it's all very complicated with multiple different unions wanting different things.

Next week our boxes go back to a more similar feel for this time of year where I try to balance as much seasonal UK veg as possible whilst still making the boxes feel interesting.

There are two Italian fruits on the menu next week - tarocco blood oranges and gala apples. From Spain we've got more excellent nadorcott clementines and fairtrade bananas from Dominican Republic.

The most exciting UK additions next week are cauliflowers and purple sprouting broccoli both found in bigger boxes. There are quite a few cauliflowers available as swaps and a few portions of purple sprouting broccoli. There also some UK apples in boxes next week, a mixture of spartan and braeburn.

From Spain there are courgettes and fully compostable punnets of cherry tomatoes in pretty much in all boxes.
I've also managed to pick up some good value red peppers and cucumbers which will be in a fair few boxes.

Passion4Plants have less pea shoots available this week but still a good number of bay leaves and micro greens.
Earlier in the week Rob & Sarah shared with me their growing plan for 2024 - it covers no less than 30 different crops that they hope to grow for us this year (up from 16 in 2023). Very exciting!

Leeds Bread Co-op continue their special of sundried tomato loaf for one more week.
