Hello,

Hope you’ve had a great week!

Next week the 15% off deal continues with you guessed it, 15% off all tea, coffee and food cupboard items.
If you’ve already added the discount code extras to your basket, you don’t need to do anything, the website will automatically discount you this week too! If you haven’t, add the code for a discount off this week and next.

We are slowly, slowly moving towards the UK growing season and this week the most exciting new addition is UK grown asparagus! At the time of writing this there are 7 bunches available and can be found on the fruit, veg & salad tab on the website, not as a swap. Grab them whilst you can!

On that tab you will also find mint, parsley and coriander. These looked amazing last week, so much better than the mushy sweaty bags of herbs you see in supermarkets.

There is a good range of products available next week with a few nice seasonal products which is great to see at this time of year.

From the UK there are more excellent bunched leeks, celeriac, parsnips, white cabbages, cauliflower and 3 types of mushrooms. I hope you all enjoyed Eds fancy mushrooms last week. They can be found on the website here

From across the channel there is a fabulous array of colour covering aubergines, broccoli, courgettes, green peppers, red peppers, avos, lettuces, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and vine tomatoes

The colour doesn’t stop there, fruit next week includes bananas, blueberries, ellendale mandarins (new) and a tentative dip into stoned fruit season with the first yellow nectarines of the year. These will be very limited next week as they are very high in price still and will only feature in the largest fruit boxes.

And a few random add on bits you can grab too - lemons, ginger, turmeric, chillies and the above mentioned 3 herbs.

Finally, if any of you would like to see where some of your food will be grown this year and fancy a nosy around Passion4Plants market garden in Oakwood then they are hosting an apple blossom event on the 28th April in conjunction with Elmete Community Orchard. There'll be lots of activities including talks, tours, planting, crafts and refreshments. And best of all you can meet the lovely Sarah & Rob and see what they'll be growing for us in the coming months.
All the details can be found below.

Have a great weekend.
Thanks
Sam
