Hello,
Hope you’ve had a great week!
I’ve just had an exciting email from a local apple cooperative about buying some of their apples this season.
I’ll let you know how this progresses in the coming weeks…
For now though, I’ve got some LS22 grown apples for you anyway.
Andy at Living Potential has an orchard and will have a mixed variety of apples available next week. Mixed because he’s inherited the orchard and has no idea what they are…but they'll all be dessert apples apparently.
Living Potential also have some massive, impressive looking winter savoy cabbages, loads of radishes and more of their lovely stir fry mix bags. These bags are a bit of everything and you guessed it, ideal for chucking in a mid week stir fry.
Passion4Plants have their last Oakwood Farms Market of the year on Saturday so won't have too much stuff for us. Although this may change depending on their harvest on Friday, so if you want some of their stuff, check back later in the weekend. They do have the last of their mixed tomatoes and salad cherry tomatoes.
Elsewhere from across the UK, customers at the start of the week will be enjoying purple cape broccoli in their boxes and customers at the later stages will recieve regular broccoli.
Both broccolis will be from Lancashire, as will the cauliflowers, parsnips, carrots, beetroot and two types of squash - casperita and harlequin.
They’ll be more ace leeks from Doncaster and more excellent aubergines from Spain.
Speaking of Spain, next week I’ve slightly upped my citrus order with oronules clementines in more boxes vs last week and even a couple of ruby star grapefruits from Valencia.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Thanks
Sam
