A quick Christmas update! 

I am just trying to finalise/work out dates within the constraints of our website but I hope to have my Christmas offering live over the weekend for pre orders. There'll be an extra delivery day somewhere between 21st-23rd which will include Christmas day specific veg as well as Christmas extras and Christmas hampers. We’ll then be closed until w/c 6th January.
I’ll send out a separate email once the Christmas things are live! 

View from the fields

It’s been a pretty cold week so I’m taking you on a tour to warmer fields. Citrus season is slowly ramping up Mairena del Alcor, Sevilla where we will be sourcing a lot of our oranges and clementines from over the next few months. Next week Gospa Citrus will be supplying us with clementines in our boxes. Long time customers will be all too familiar with Gospa Citrus as each year they are a star of the show! They are famous for their seville oranges and are so far harvesting clementines and fukumoto oranges (which I am yet to try) before their main crop of navelina oranges. Our main wholesaler went to visit Jose at Gospa Citrus a couple years ago and shot a very nice video which you can watch below.

Pick of the bunch

This week it’s all about greens, we’ve got cavolo nero, green kale and spring greens across our boxes. Cavolo Nero and Kale are generally available year round nowadays but are at their best at this time of year for the next few months. So now is the perfect time to get that green goodness on your fork! 

Product highlight

Smokey chilli oil - white mausu. White Mausu has been one of the biggest indie food hits of the past 12 or so months. They've gone from an indie start up to a listing in M&S. Marcus Waring called it "incredible”, Jay Rayner called their cupboard essentials a “banger” and it’s yours next week with 20% off. 

Seasonal star

Gold kiwis. Let’s face it, gold kiwis are a better version of a normal kiwi. They are more expensive but better. It’s rare they are a good enough price to be able to fit into our offering but when they are, I snap them straight up! Next week they’ll be coming from Italy where the best European kiwis tend to be grown!
